Spa Body Treatments by Terri Owens
As the newest massage therapist to join the Open Sky team, I am thrilled to be here! I offer spa body treatments (see Price List page for full explanation of my services). I am currently scheduling appointments on Monday – Friday (with some Saturday appointments available). I use my knowledge of herbs to create natural and organic body products in all of my treatments. Stop in for a treatment and “Love the skin your in”!

Fluctuations in brain waves either relax or stimulate you. Massage increases the delta waves, those brain waves linked to sleep, and a current study at the “Touch Research Institute” in Miami found that is why people drift off to sleep.
Massage Therapy is a natural bug killer.
Your immune system is the first line of defense against invading illness. Massage decreases cortisol hormone. The cortisol hormone is a Natural Killer of cells. Therefore, since massage decreases cortisol, your immune system gets a boost. Massage can even boost your immune system when it is severely compromised.
Why does it feel so good?
The well-being feeling of massage therapy has many factors. Less cortisol and more seratone and dopamine in your system may also mean less anxiety and increase well-being.
The right side of the frontal lobe of your brain is more active when you are sad, or depressed. The left side is more active when you are happy and relaxed. Studies show that massage decreases activity in the right side and increases activity on the left.

NO-FAULT INSURANCE MASSAGE THERAPY
OPEN SKY Healing Arts Center is now accepting No-Fault Auto insurance cases. We accept referrals from physical, chiropractors, occupational and other forms of therapies. Massage services for No-Fault are available for those involved in car accidents. You will need a referral.
