Open Sky Wellness proudly offers our clients a team of five licensed massage therapists with more than 85 years of combined professional experience. These highly skilled therapists offer massage and bodywork modalities that are sure to meet the needs of each and every client. Choose from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Thai, Prenatal (and more!) from 30 minutes to 120 minutes in length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swedish massage is a classic Western style massage used to relieve muscle tension and promote overall wellbeing. A variety of gentle and flowing techniques are performed to improve circulation while enhancing relaxation and decreasing stress, anxiety and muscle tension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep-Tissue Massage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This massage modality focuses on specific areas of pain and tension. Slow, deep strokes and sustained pressure are used to reach the deep layers of the muscles and surrounding soft tissue in order to break up adhesions and improve joint range of motion. Deep tissue massage is often used for athletic rehabilitation, chronic pain and muscle tension, sciatica, plantar fasciitis and other conditions. Common deep tissue massage techniques include muscle stripping, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cross-fiber work, compression, and stretching. Your therapist will utilize a combination of techniques best suited to meet your needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prenatal massage is an important way of honoring the dramatic physical changes of your amazing body as it grows the miracle of life. For your comfort and safety, we utilize positions specifically tailored to the pregnant body. A variety of techniques are performed to address the discomforts brought on by pregnancy, stress, and chronic tension. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thai Massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage, is a full body approach to wellness that combines passive stretching, compression, joint mobilization and acupressure. No oils or creams are used, as Thai Massage is performed with the client fully clothed, and the session takes place on a mat on the floor. Like many massage modalities, Thai promotes relaxation and improved sleep. It provides pain relief, decreases muscle tension, and improves posture and flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OPEN SKY provides massage therapy to Veterans in need of pain management, muscular tension relief and stress reduction in coordination with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We are proud to serve those who have served our country!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
